Mental illness is a silent killer.
It doesn't scream—it whispers,
quietly eroding you from within.
It doesn't wear a warning sign.
It hides behind smiles, chores,
conversations, and empty rooms.
I didn't ask for much—just love,
compassion, a little time
From those who say they care.
They will cry when I'm gone.
They'll say, they wish they
had known,
That they didn't see how bad
it was.
But I ask—where were their eyes
When I was standing right in front
of them,
Begging to hear my words
Why do tears come easier for
the dead
Than compassion does for
the living?

Amiela is Spanish for "[she] makes honey." That, in a word, is the mission of Respect honeybees. Just like the humble honeybee, we are about making something sweet through tireless industry and sheer determination. It's hard work, but we appreciate that every life matters and is worth the labour. Please join us in the effort. Together, we can save lives. Life is sweet like honey—we are meant to enjoy it.
Don't be shy; just say hello.
